Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
